I'm trying to set some Group Policies to disable Messenger for certain users.

Every time I try to run gpresult /S machinename I get a RPC server is Unavailable error.

I also get it through Computer Management when I try to view the Properties of the Computers in question.

I've made sure the service is running in those machines.

Being a little new to domain management I'm really at a loss as to what it could be.

The SBS server and the client PC's are running Mcafee Enterprise if that has any bearing.

All clients are WinXP.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

I'm not a member of Experts Exchange so I can't see the posts.

anyway I managed to solve it.

Had to apply a Group Policy to allow Remote Administration Exception in the Firewall GPO.

Once that was done I could get all the information I needed from each of the machines and could make sure the other policies where being applied.
