Rpc Server unavailable

Hi,

My clients connect to my server perfectly, as long as I not restrict port range (e.g. to 5000 -

http://www.microsoft.com/com/wpaper/dcomfw.asp).

In this case I always get the message rpc server unavailable. I tried most everything ... dcomcnfg, regedt32. First protocol is tcp/ip. Any hints ? Maybe a security problem ?

All PCs - OS NT4SP5,VC6++

Do you have the following ports opened up between the web server and the MTS server ?:
1)TCP 135 Port opened bi-directional
2)UDP 135 Port opened bi-directional
3)Established Port opened up
