Hi

When I log into the domain when using RDP it tells me that the RPC server is not available. If I log on locally it works just fine.

The server has 2 NICs, I have changed its config so that NIC 1 is now the NIC with the default gateway.

So why does it work locally but not under RDP? Does RDP store NIC info somewhere?

Cheers

Well, there you go...

Open "Network Connections", go to "advanced" in the menu across the top of the window "file, edit, view etc" Click "advanced settings" make sure the NIC you want to handle the RDP is moved to the top of the list in "Adapters and Bindings".

is this on a DC (the box that has 2 NICs)?

RPC server is unavailable is indicative of port 135 being closed, or else a DNS lookup issue btw.

A+

Tell us a little more about the network configuration. Is one interface outward facing, and the other on your internal network?
