Hi all,

I have discovered that the process /usr/sbin/rpc.nisd is taking up 68% of my cpu process. and has been running since Aug 13 2003.

I believe this is related to the NIS+ root server service. How can i reduce the huge cpu resource it is taking without kill this service or is it advisable to kill this service and restart it again. What would be the effect of killing this service in my environment. Would appreciate any form of help.

Many thanks,
Leno.
