RPC error

I am trying to replace a server in an Exchange site that has several site connectors on it. The server is an Alpha box running NT 4.0 sp3 and Exch 5.5 sp1. I am rplacing it with an Intel box with the same configuration. When ever I change the site connectors cost to make the Intel server the primary server messaging stops and I get the following in Event Viewer<br>

I can ping the server using both the host name and the IP address. I can Net View to it and I can connect to the IPC$ share. There doesn't appear to be any other problems with connecting to this server. Any ideas?

The error indicates that the server that the messages are destined for is either down or cannot be reached on the network. <br>

If you did what you said you did, then you shouldn't have this error. <br>
<br>
If your running DHCP try using the command ipconfig /release, then ipconfig /renew<br>
