RPC Communication errors

I keep getting the following event (id 9316) on my Exchange 5.5 SP3:

"An RPC communication error occurred. No data was sent over the RPC connection. Locality table (LTAB) index 197. Windows NT error: 47. The MTA will attempt to recover the RPC connection [BASE IL KERNEL 27 520] (12)"

Two sites in one domain over WAN with a two way trust relationship to another domain over WAN.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?
