Is there a reason Roxio wont read a DVD-RW that has been written to as blank/new media? What is left over on the DVD that it is seeing?

Did you use Roxio to erase it?

Have you tried the erased DVD-RW in another DVD writer?

Try another blank DVD and see what happens...

This is a question for someone else so Im not sure how they were erased. I believe blank DVDs out of the box work fine but if they have been written to before then they don't show as blank media.

Well, if it's happening on more than one occasion, then I'd try a different brand of DVD-RW.

But yeah, you're going to need to find out more details about how they're erasing the DVD, the DVD burner brand/model, and whether or not they've tried more than on DVD-RW disc.

Its a Pioneer burner using Roxio 6 to add files and erase the DVD. We just need to figure out why Roxio doesnt see and erased DVD as blank when doing a new media project.

I'm not sure you understand what I've suggested.

1) You need to try more than one DVD-RW disc.

2) You need to try more than one brand (Maxell, FujiFilm, TDK, etc.)

3) You need to try the disc in another burner (if that's an option) to make sure the disc isn't getting damaged
