row number for active cell

I am a beginner I use the find command to find a textstring and activate the cell, but how can I find what row number the active cell has?

If you are using something like

set c = sheets(1).columns("A&quot.find(textstring)

c.row
will give you the row
or
activecell.row
will work if you really must activate the cell
