Hi,

I have got a calendar on my site

I want to have thin lines going between the rows and so I've got a cell with colspan 6 and height set to 1 and given it a background colour.

This works fine in Internet Explorer but Firefox is making the lines about 10 pixels thick.

Is there a way of using CSS to define a style for these rows that will be compatible with both browsers?

Thanks very much

Ed

Add this to your css

td {margin:0px; padding:0px;}

It's your cellpadding that's making that gap. 5px on top, 5px on the bottom, that's 10px. FF is correct.

However, why on earth would you be showing an empty row in between if you're simply trying to add some borders?

Hi,

Thanks for this - the reason I did it that way was because I only wanted the border to be horizontal not vertical. Is this possible?

Thanks again

Hi thanks all,

I have now corrected it using the styling you've recommended and it's working perfectly. I can now see that my previous approach was completely backward!

Thanks again
