Hi,

i was asked to add an ip address to a slackware linux box. the ips are
IP 199.228.182.138
SM 255.255.255.252
GW 199.228.182.137
then i need to add a routing for all traffic to 204.104.97.17 should be routed to 199.228.182.137 (gateway of above)

question...

does this ip forwarding? how am i able to get it done?

thanks a lot!

Try this route add –host 204.104.97.17 gw 199.228.182.137 dev eth0<or whatever the NIC is>
I am no Linux Guru, but I think this will work, or at least get you on the right track...

Thanks,
