hi,

I am very new Sco Unixware . I am having problem. I would like to know from where the routing table is getting value.
B'coz when I change manually with route add command , the changes is not made permanent. When I reboot the server it gets the value from somewhere. I would like to know from where does it gets the value and how to change the value to permanent.

Can anyone help me.

Tina

I only have experience from Openserver but try looking for something like this...

These are the startupscripts where (at least in my case) tcp/ip stuff are loaded.

/etc/rc2.d/S85tcp
search for route add ... in that file.

hope it helps...

Thanks Nostradamus for responding. But there is no such file and I did searcg for route add under the directory /etc. It didn't help.

Thanks. Please let me know if there is any other ways for finding it.

Try having a look for a file called something like S99route in /etc/rc2.d. Again, this may only apply to Openserver, but hope it helps.
