I have tried to work out the routing - but it stumps me , all I want to do is dial 1 and get dial tone and dial another 7 digits (local) externally - But it alludes me.

I have read AA@H and as much as I can find - but I cannot understand why Asterisk needs two sets of routing, one in the system and another on the interface ie FXS or SIP.

All I need is a simple example to get it working and I can bluff the rest of the way myself..
