I'm trying to setup a public hotspot within my existing network. Is there any way to route traffic from the linksys directly to the outside and not allow it traverse any other part of the network. I tried setting a static route to the gateway router and the firewall but neither worked. The linksys kept saying the default route already existed.
Is this doable or am I way off base.

Thanks

The WRT54G does not have that capability to split the LAN into two subnets.

One way of doing that is to add a second router that would become your primary router with WAN connection to your ISP, and setup the WRT54G as a separate wireless router that would function as a WAP/router and feed to the primary router's LAN with appropriate options and firewalls turned on.

Hope this helps!
