About 3 days ago I starting pinging 150ms to servers I normally ping 20ms in.(Its only sertain servers that ping that high; I can still ping 20ms other servers) I promptly called the isp and they had me run a speed test and everything was looking fine. They thought it was probably a virus slowing my computer which could have been true at the time, but yesterday I built a new pc and still having the same problem. So last night i ran tracert and the connecting was bouncing from oregon to san fransisco then to LA then finally back to seatle where the server is located. It would be about 15 hops. Now today when i tried the same server it says "over maximum of 30 hops".

Could the problem be with the DNS server or could it be something with my modem? The two computers have not yet been networked together and have both been plugged stait into the modem.
