Routing Issue?

Hello,

I have a server on a subnet that cannot tracert to another server 3 routers away. It gets to the 2nd router and dies. But, from the router on this server's subnet I can tracert to the other server. Any ideas where to look?

Maybe routing. The router sends packets from a different subnet than the server, specifically the subnet between it and the next hop. Check the 2nd router for a route to your server's subnet.

Also check that ICMP isn't being blocked at some point.
