Hello,

I have just been given the responsibility of a Mitel SX2000 light, and need to know how to route incoming calls. My experiences are with Nortel's and i am finding the layout of the Mitel a bit frustrating. I am trying to find where the Mitel points a certain number, so i know what extension it is sent to. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Scott

Your question is quite open ended and lacking in specific details so my annswer in necessarily vague. It would help if you told us what type of trunks you had for example.

Assuming you have digital trunking and DID's the Mitel simply has to have matching digits to the inbound digits to ring any device. Your system may have digit manipulation via the trunk service assignment form that modifies the incoming digits. (Absorb x digits, insert y digits)

If you can't or don't want the incoming digits (after manipulation) to match the DN of your phone then you can use a speed call entry to take the received digits and translate them into the number you desire.

Once you get used to the ease and flexibility of the Mitel you'll wonder why you ever thought well of Nortel.

Thank you kwbmitel, with your help i was able to find what i needed. Sorry about the delayed response i was in an "Internet Dead Zone".
