Hi all, I'm still working on tracking long distance across a TIE line. I think I'm getting closer though. I've determined by looking at my raw CDR data that the issue is the number being sent across the TIE based on type of call. If a caller makes a call from the remote site that is a local call for my site (connected with the TIE line), calls go out local and originating extension shows up in the raw data. If they make a LD call from the remote site, it also traverses the TIE line and goes out our LD T1. But the originationg extension in the CDR data shows the main site number rather than the extension. This is causing my CDR software to not be able to track the call and assign a cost to it.

So i've printed out my RLIs for the local across the TIE vs the LD across the TIE:

Local, RLI 14:
CUST 0
FEAT RLB
RLI 14

RLI 14
ENTR 0
LTER NO
ROUT 8
TOD 0 ON 1 ON 2 ON 3 ON
4 ON 5 ON 6 ON 7 ON
VNS NO
CNV NO
EXP NO
FRL 2
DMI 2
FCI 1
FSNI 0
SBOC NRR
IDBB DBA
IOHQ NO
OHQ NO
CBQ NO

LD across the TIE, RLI 4:

CUST 0
FEAT RLB
RLI 4

RLI 4
ENTR 0
LTER NO
ROUT 8
TOD 0 ON 1 ON 2 ON 3 ON
4 ON 5 ON 6 ON 7 ON
VNS NO
CNV NO
EXP NO
FRL 4
DMI 4
FCI 0
FSNI 0
SBOC NRR
IDBB DBA
IOHQ NO
OHQ NO
CBQ YES

Also of note, the local across the TIE calls output the internal extension to local caller ID, is the DMI responsible for this? How can I view DMI 4 (LD) vs DMI 2 (local)? Hope this makes sense....

Now that I have this information, I'm assuming that DMI 4 deletes 0 digits from the beginning of the call, and DMI 2 deletes 4. What is the relevance of "CTYP"? It appears to be the only other difference...

DMI 4
DEL 0
ISPN NO
INST 9
CTYP NCHG

DMI 2
DEL 4
ISPN NO
INST 9
CTYP UKWN

Is this a PRI or traditional T1 TIE line? If T1, then no info on the calling party is sent.

it is a TIE, though it does send along CLID information. I called my cell phone (a 208 idaho number) from the site in Oregon (so it went across the TIE and out as a local call from the Idaho PBX) and my cell phone displayed the 7 digit internal extension I was calling from just as if I was calling on-net (but without the name of course). If i make the same call from the facility in Idaho, my cell phone displays the main hospital number instead of the extension (based on the CLID table just as it should).

I think you oughta post the Route Data Block - might be some help there.

in my software, if the tie route is marked internal, i get the dn from the remote switch to my raw cdr data.. on an external route i get the orig trunk... that only happens when you did in to a station that is cfxa to a ld number

All of the routing is happening as it should, the only change to all of this would have been the addition of CLID tables where there were none in the past....
