Trying to test out dialing 4 digit between offices via ASM, instead of CM. I have one CM with SIP trunks to ASMA and another CM hub with SIP trunks to ASMD. These ASM's are both linked to 1 SMGR. There are entity links setup between the 2 ASM's. I have a test extension on each hub I want to play with so my question is what the exact path should be:
Option 1. CM Hub A calls CM Hub B (xxxx). AAR entry with RP to SIP TG to ASMA ---> ASMD --- SIP TG to CM hub B -- in the routing policy and dial patter sections does there need to be some translation between the ASMs or are since they are entity links they will know how to pass the call between?
Option 2. CM hub A calls CM Hub B (xxxx). AAR entry with RP to SIP TG to ASMD ---> SIP TG to CM hub B -- or do you have SIP trunks between CM hubs and both ASM's?
I do have an additional ASMC in the environment with a SIP TG to Hub C. I think I have too many ASM's, but that's for a different discussion.
