I have two 2003 servers connected via routing and remote access across the net. From either server I can get to anything on the opposite network no problem...but when a workstation on one of the LANs tries to hit an IP from the other LAN it does not work. Both servers are set as LAN and demand dial and the server IP is the default gatway for the workstations on each LAN.

What am I missing here?

Thanks

can you show route print from both server?

if wks on lan-A ping wks on lan-B what is the response? And the opposite?

I will get those routes to you tomorrow...

Pinging yields request timed out from both sides and a tracert doesn't give any info past the default gateway which is the lan addy of the 2k3 server...

Also...for future ref:

lan a = 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 server a = 192.168.1.200

lan b = 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 server b = 192.168.2.200

OK...I went ahead and nabbed the routes today :)

you only have one NIC on each server?
Normally on lan A:
192.168.2.0/24 192.168.1.x 192.168.2.111
192.168.1.x/32 192.168.2.111 192.168.2.111
192.168.2.111/32 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1

with 192.168.1.x is the IP address given to LAN-B VPN Server
from Lan-a and 192.168.2.111 is the IP address on LAN-A Server from Lan-b

I don't know why yours default gateway for remote network is not local ip.
How did you configure your VPN Server, Try to follow doc on MS site or isaserver.org
