When a call come's in to ext.xxx(DID) it then CFW to an external number that works fine except if some one unforwards the phone or remove's the phone the calls wont get CFW , is there a way to route calls that come in to this Target line Permanently with out using the set to CFW all calls.

Yep,

Use the line redirect option in the target line programming section of EM.

will this work with a PRI? and thanks for yor help.

I just tried it and I get a Busy tone am I doing something wrong , I go to Target Line and select the Target Line 527 then in the Line Rediect field i Put in the number starting with 9 and the area code then the number and move to another line so the changes will be saved , I then call the DID and get a busy tone.

As cook says that is the procedure and it should work.

I get the same busy out on my 450 - PRI.
An incoming PRI DID call to my number gets busy.
An incoming (copper)Tie Trunk call to the same Target line will forward. (Same thing with my 400's)

Within the TARGET LINE Programming the BCM prompts that Target Line REDIRECT is invaid for PRI or VoIP lines.

I just checked on a BCM450 R5 with PRI and it work perfectly.

Neat.

Did it do a RLT (Release Link Trunk) (Flash/Link) type of Forward on the same PRI channel or did it use another outgoing channel to complete the call?

It used another channel. Pretty much exactly like CFW external from a handset.

You might try another method to do this. Delete the target line, and set up a destination code that equals the received digits for the line. Create a new route, use pri, and set the external number to be the number you're transferring the call to. Assign that route to the destination code.

Thanks Khosher,

I set it up last week on my Target Line. It would only work on copper. Today my phone does a little ring and the PRI - DID calls were going out.

I've noticed systems tend to take a few minutes to actually activate the feature through Element Mgr. as opposed to activation at the set.---(Including external Call forward.) As this can only be set up through Element Mgr. it stands to reason that it takes a few minutes to activate.

I was not successful with this even got my support on the phone and we couldnt get it to work we would put the number in the field and all we would get was a busy.
