i have a requirement where in call coming on a Avaya G3r extension/vdn has to be sent to two diffrent extensions on two diffrent Nortel swtiches connected to avaya via PRI Qsig trunks..in short the call should ring on three extensions ( in three diffrent pbxs ) simultaniously

any ideas ??

surakmn,

i'd say ec500/x-mobile and cov ans groups. ip softphones would only add a point of failure.

IP softphone is not feasible due to high latency ( US and india), EC-500 will again add cost ( international dialling).

the extension where the call needs to be sent are not part of same pbx...they are members of other pbx systems connected to recieving system via tie/pri trunks??

any other ideas??

noidatech,

why international dialing? who said you can't use other pbx extension number as ec500 "cell" number? :) x-mobile works the same way, except that you would have to have matching extension numbers on both switches and that's not too good. i'd prefer ec500.

Hi Dwalin,

i havent actually explored ec-500 option, do you hve some documentation as to how to program this feature.

my scenario

PBX A ( Avaya)-----PBX B ( Nortel)-----PBX C( Nortel)

all connected to each otehr via PRI trunks

calls coming on x extension on PBX should ring parlalley on extenion on PBX and PBX C, can this be achieved using EC-500.

noidatech,

if you mean that a call should ring extensions on pbx "a" and either "b" or "c", it can be done using ec500. as for documentation, you can find it here.

IF Q-sig is working and setup properly, the extensions on the Nortel should work, on a basic level, same as if they were on the Avaya. In theory, you should be able to put those extensions in a pickup group or bridge the Avaya extensions to them. EC-500 should not be necessary when running q-sig. The attached link details an Avaya/3com setup. Check the Avaya setup info for ideas.
