Ok routing routing guru's here my problem.

I have a client that has a private frame relay network. There are 5 satalite offices connected to the corporate hub.
Every location has a cicso router, 1600,1700,2500,2600

The network was set as following
192.192.1.0 HUB
192.192.2.0 Satalite
192.192.3.0 Satalite
192.192.4.0 (Frame cloud for subnet 3 to hub)
192.192.5.0 (Frame cloud for subnet 4 to hub)
192.192.6.0 (FRame cloud for subnet 7 to hub)
192.192.7.0 Satalite

My task at hand is to convert each subnet to 192.168.x.x
Each subnet is located across the country, so it has to be done site by site (one at a time)

What should this be approached ?

-Danny

Use the secondary IP address command to let you key in the new IP range and setup the routing for it. If you are using IP CLASSLESS and ROUTE 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Port it should be fairly painless

At least I think this is what you are trying to do :)

>>Use the secondary IP address command

Does this imply that I can create a sub interface or an maybe an alaise would be a better term ?

What is the command syntax

-Danny

router(config)interface ethernet 0
ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
ip address 192.168.2.1 255.255.255.0 secondary

I figured it out.

Thanks

-Danny
