Hi,

Just have a question we have two routes configured on our system one is an ISDN primary rate and the other is a DPNSS link.
Yet they have no dest assigned i.e routes not used from this I understand that are is no cards programmed up on the switch.
What I want to know is do we have these cards just they haven't been "cnhui"

Thanks

mack

You don't need any cards to "program" a route......you only need a card if you want to assign any trunks to it.

You also won't have a dest code assigned to a route if it's inbound only.

Hope this helps,

Dave Strang

Ok thanks for that how do you define an incoming route? But if you want to have a route that is duplex you would need to assign it to a trunk correct?

Well, not actually. (except if you want to make calls - the same as for an incoming route).
