Routers disconnect me from ATTBI

If I leave my system idle for about 15 minutes while connected via ATTBI Cable, my Web Browser will no longer work. I receive
"The web page you requested is not available offline. To view this page, click Connect."
After hitting connect, I can browse the web all I want. It has become rather annoying.
When bypassing the router, it work fine, I am able to maintain a connection to the Internet. However, I went out and purchased a Barricade Plus SMC7004FW Router and the same thing happened.

Any advise??

ATTBI has had terrible connection problems in MA the last few days. I had the connection die and return at least 5 times in 5 minutes the other night. It would fail email and browsing, and come back just before I decided to reboot. There may be no problem on your end (other than being held hostage to a cable ISP monopoly). Newposter
