Hi. I know nothing about routers really.

I got age of empires 2 here and 2 PC's in the house... and so does a friend of mine inscotland. I would like these 3 PCs to connect and play agame. In the house here the 2 pc's have the connection shared by means of an Origo Router which assigns both PC's a 10.x.x.x IP address.

Can anyone at all tell me how I could possbly host a game on a PC here for all three PC's??

This is driving me mad. Not so much because I can't play the game but because I just can't figure it out!!

Please help.

Thanks.
Dan.

First you would need a public IP address to host your game with. The 10's network will not work since it is your router assigning the two PC's those addresses. From not knowing much more about the game or the router you have I would suggest getting a static IP address from your ISP and assigning that IP to your WAN interface of the router. From there you should be able to host the game at your location and have your buddy in Scotland connect to your WAN IP address. In theory this should work. If you have Cable or DSL the Dynamic IP address the ISP gives you should also work. Check the WAN Interface of your router and have your buddy try to connect to your hosted game. Let us know if this works.
