I currently have a router to router vpn setup with 2 dlink 804hv routers running on asdl lines (passing through asdl modems using pppoE). The setup has been working fine, but I am changing one of my internet providers and They have supplied me an asdl router (speedstream 6520) instead of an asdl modem. Previously I had :

lan1 == dlink 804hv == asdl modem == INTERNET == asdl modem == dlink 804hv == lan2

This was fine because an asdl modem forwards all traffic to the routers and then you configure the routers with vpn and port forwarding.

Now I have an extra router in the equation.

lan1 == dlink 804hv == asdl Router == INTERNET == asdl modem == dlink 804hv == lan2

How does the vpn request (router to router) get passed from the asdl router to the lan1 dlink router. Do I just have to port forward the asdl router to the dlink or is there more to it. If it is simple port forwarding, what port does the dlink router to router vpn use?

On the vpn status it shows:
Type: ESP Tunnel
Status : IKE established

Thanks

What's the problem? Looks like the tunnel is established...
