I can access a wireless network in my home belone to a firends house nextdoor.

My friend has a netopia Wireless router, and I connect using a Belkin Wireless USB card.

The signal I am recieving is "Very Low".

I have reciently got my hands on a Belkin 125Mbps Wireless Router. Is it possible to use the Belkin router to recieve the signal instead of my USB wireless card. If so will using the Router help increase the signal strenght, allowing me to connect to the belkin router instead of the Netopia router to give better performance.

And suggestions welcome.

Hello,

If the Wireless Router has a Bridge Mode, you should be able to do it. Another alternative is to use a Yagi directional antenna. You should be able to find one between $125 - $150. If you don't have the budget for that, you can always make your own. I think I might take this on as one of my next projects as well. Hope this helps.

Rgds,

John
