Hello all, I want to buy a cisco router for the simple purpose to balance my two ISPs internet connection and then enter in a PIX 515 FireWall. AFAIK I have to use a router that supports BGP. I have seen the 830 model, but what is the model you guys advice to buy?

thanks in advance

bantrab,
The 800 series will do the trick, provided it is installed with enough memory to run BGP (Cisco IOS IP plus). These are good low-end routers for internet connectivity, especially when cost is a factor. Other models you can look at are the 1700 and 2600 series, which are more suitable if you're looking to add firewall features to your internet router.

Most of the time, if you are ordering new service from an ISP they will through in a Cisco 2620 for free.
