Hello All.
I have an ADSL router and from time to time I experience extremely slow internet connection. Sometimes I complete loose connection to router because when I ping it I get "request time out".
I have a Wireless Access point that is acting as a DHCP server and assigns IP addresses to the wireless devices. It also assigns as gateway and primary DNS the ADSL router's IP address.
If the above problem occurs then I am forced to switch the router off and then on in order to "fix" the problem. But, I do this quite frequently so I believe that something is causing a "denial of service" issue.
I searched on the Internet and some people say:
- Close / block P2P applications
- Often using the router as a dns server gives the above problems
Could you tell me what might be the cause of the problem and how to resolve it?
Thank you in advance.
