I need to audit all of the routers we have in stores (around 190) but i need to get the serial numbers - I thought if i did a show ver it would give me the information I need.

It doesn't - the routers in question are cisco 837s

Any ideas

Thanks

Steve

I've yet to see a Cisco router that reported the actual chassis serial number from a 'show ver' command. Some of their newer switches do this, but the routers just give you the motherboard serial number, not the chassis serial number.

How about show diag? It brings up the chasis SN on my 2811.
