I own a D-Link DSL-504 router and i am having trouble setting up the firewall to work. i want to be stealthed which means i will need rules for all my apps. Once i have 1st working rule i am sure the rest will follow. Can any1 offer help with what is wrong with these rules

SOURCE PORT DEST PORT
DNS 0.0.0.0/0 53 192.168.0.2 0
DNS 192.168.0.2/24 0 0.0.0.0/0 53
WWW 0.0.0.0/0 80 192.168.0.2 0
WWW 192.168.0.2 0 0.0.0.0/0 80

i cant see where i am goin wrong. all my other routers settings are fine.

P.S Do i have to add rules for the ethernet interface aswell as the WAN port?

Thank You in advance

Chelli

Are you trying to just configure port forwarding to make sure it clears your router to the proper place? You shouldnt have to filter it outbound if you are running a NAT enabled router, because it will automatically cvonvert it to the correct port, etc..

Try:
Code:
DNS 0.0.0.0/0 53 192.168.0.2 53
WWW 0.0.0.0/0 80 192.168.0.2 80
