router doesn't acknowledge 2000 server after install

After I installed Active Directory, my router didn't recognize my 2000 server computer anymore. Does this have to do with installing the DNS service or something? I'm not sure what to do.

I dont understand what you mean by "my router didn't recognize my 2000 server computer anymore", your router shouldnt give a hoot about your server. could you elaberate more on the problem?
