I am new in the cisco world :) I have here a Cisco 2514 router and a Catalyst 1924 switch, how do I connect the two together? I also have a Pix 501 firewall that I would like to connect them to, what do i need to hook my router to the firewall?

Thanks For the Help!! :)

Im not sure if this is what you want to know. But, to hook your router to the switch just hook the Ethernet port in to the switch.

Both the router and switch have AUI ports, do i use that, do i need to get transcievers or can is there a AUI cable that I can get to use?

get 2 aui adapters for the router leave the AUI on the switch alone..
Easy rule to remember if the ports are marked 1x then 2x to x = crossover 1 to 2 crossover
1x to 2 patch cable.
look at the eth ports and they will have a little x at the bottom of the number or have none at all

on the router it just says AUI 0 & AUI 1....... on the switch there is just one AUI port on the back... So I will need 3 Transcievers and 3 patch cables?
