Router cisco 2600 not booting getting bunch of JJJJJJJ 's - anyone has an idea how to fix this issue?

Sounds like someone may have messed with the config register and changed the speed on the console port, try changing speeds on your terminal emulator in jumps of 9600. Try 9600 ,19200 and on up .
