Have a customer that wants to switch over to Vonage.
He's running an AT&T Uverse NVG589 gateway.
The Vonage boxes need ports opened to function.
You can't set the same port forwarding to two different devices on any router
You can't assign a DMZ to two different devices
So, thinking of setting it up like this:
NVG589 in IP Passthrough mode >> 2nd router on different private subnet with firewall turned off >> Vonage boxes
Does this accomplish basically opening up all ports to the Vonage boxes?
I guess the alternative is to buy a block of static ip addresses from AT&T and assign one to each Vonage box.
"Living tomorrow is everyone's sorrow.
Modern man's daydreams have turned into nightmares.
