Router 1700series: Rommon Problem

How to solve the rommon problem?

rommon 1> dev

I can see the
flash flash:

But when it

rommon 2> dir flash:

It not out put anything but Warning say that what magic number....

rommon 3> tftpdnld -r

It fail to download the bin file into router...

May I know how to solve this problem?

Have any guide and way to solve it?

Did you put in all the below variables before using the command "tftpdnld -r" ?

IP_ADDRESS=172.18.16.76
IP_SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.192
DEFAULT_GATEWAY=172.18.16.65
TFTP_SERVER=172.18.16.2
TFTP_FILE=quake/rel22_Jan_16/c2600-i-mz

IS this correct?

Don't forget the tftpdnld to start the download process. You need to use the proper Code for that unit.

I never use the tftpdnld -r, not even remotely necessary.


Remember, this:

They all need to be in upper cases, following by an "_" between names and "=" sign. Also the file name needs to be exactly the same, or just copy the test file and paste it in ROMMOM.

IP_ADDRESS=(your IP in the network)
IP_SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.xxx
DEFAULT_GATEWAY=172.xx.xx.xx
TFTP_SERVER=(IP address where the file is with your TFTP program)
TFTP_FILE=c1700-adventerprisek9-mz.124-16.bin (this is an example of the exact file in the TFTP Server)
