Routeing calls

What is the best way to route calls thru my switch to another switch without affecting caller i.d., it must also alow for 4 digit dialing between the two switches.

we tac on 3 digits to the 4 comming into the trunk and the rout out the other trunk with a pattern that strips the three digits.
