Route-It Plan Documentation

I was looking for ideas and or a template some of you are using to document your route-it plans. I am working with some very large plans, and I'm having difficulties documenting these plans. Visio and PowerPoint are to cumbersome to document these plans, so I opted with a less graphical Excel Spreadsheet, but it is lacking structure.... Any ideas?
