route expiration for icmp redirect routes 1

Hello,

Our AIX machine connects to a LAN segment with two routers. The router serving as the default gateway will send icmp redirect to the AIX machine if the 2nd router has a better route. The route will then dynmaically be added in the routing table of the AIX machine and the data will be sent send to the 2nd router direct next time.

I would like to know
(1) when this dynamic route will be expired and
(2) the reaction of the AIX machine when the 2nd router is down.
