I've created a new route "0" in Ld 16
and COT line on 7 1
(I am reusing a system from another company and just want to add our phone line to the PBX system and use the digital phones etc) heres what I've done so far.. my question is am i on the right track, and where do i go from here to receive or make calls?

ACOD 6011 <--Unsure what this should be---
any vacant number, usually a non did.. i use a 7 digit number for access codes..

ATDN 4230 <--used this does this just refer to DN of a phone?---

yes that is the phone that will ring when that trunk takes an inbound call..

auto yes turns on atdn on the trunk.. iao defines two way.. i usually set trmb to no, but that will not stop traffic

Thanks john poole for the reply,
so I should change the ACOD to a 7 digit number referring to a phone number? or is what i have fine ACOD 6011.

ATDN 4230 should I change that to 0 as 0 is the attendant consol 2250.

TRMB should I change that to No or just leave it?

Again I am very new to this and am just trying to use a system that's just sitting around collecting dust.

Do I do anything to the existing phone sets conected to the system or should they just start working? This was configued for another company at one time using a T1 I think.

Thanks
t2theroy

I must be on the right track as one of the phones rang in my shop, that was programmed ATDN 4230.
I'm starting to slowly piece things together with everyones help and reading other posts.
Now how do I get many phones to ring or do I set my ATDN 4230 (digital phone 3903)to ATDN 0 (attendant console 2250)and just transfer from there?
Also how do I call out? I only get fast busy...

thanks
t2theroy

6011 will work, you do not want that to be a dialable number from outside.. we use a 7 digit that refers to nothing... ie 8001234.. if it was a did, you could dial it from outside, get dialtone and dial back out.. good way to give away internationl toll..

i always set it to no.. that is only used with ties between two pbx's.. IT will not matter on this route.

nothing will ever just start working in this box. you have to turn on everything in 10 places.. BUT if 4230 is a working station, dial in and it should ring.. then you can change it to zero for that test..

I am able to receive an incoming call now on the ATDN 4230 and transfer to other DN's.
Now how do I make more internal lines ring on incoming call.
Mainly how do I call out?

thanks
t2theroy

you can put the 4230 dn on other phones and they shoudl all ring. What do you get when you try to call out?

Thanks,

Buddy

434.. that will show a rlb.. ld 86 prt rli and look at entry zero.. that assigns RDB and frl.. then in the same ld change rli, at the route prompt enter your new rdb 0 and set the frl to 1.. retest and post the results

Below is my prt of ld 20 DN 4230... so you mean I should add another DN 4230 with a different TN?
I get a fast busy when trying to call out.
I see the DES is different then what I put in LD 14 is thats whats causing problems with calling out?

I personally would change Rt 0 Entry 0 to DMI 0 and see if it helps. Anyone else have an opinion?

Thanks,

Buddy

You mean I should change route 0 to say route 1 or another?
