I hate to ask this question but the FAQ/Search is down for a while. I am sure it has been addressed before.

I am using a SUM function in a text box to sum a field on a form. I do NOT want it to round. User enters $5.50 it should not round to 6.00.

Is there a way to stop the rounding?

Thanks so much,
Trudye

Check you data type in your table and make sure it is appropriate. It should be something like this

Data Type = Number
Field Size = Double
Decimals=2

In your form make sure the format is #,##0.00

HTH,
Eric

Hi Eric, I figured it out. I changed the data type to Currency and the format to currency in the field (AmtReceived) that make up the SUM function. The SUM function format was already currency. Once I changed to AmtReceived fields in the table it worked great.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond
Be well,
Trudye
