Hi All,

I have several images that I'm using in Illustrator CS.

BUT when I rotate the image, it becomes jaggedy and is not very clear. I even tried rasterizing it and then rotating it but no effect.

Is there anyway I can rotate the images in Illustrator so that they don't become jaggedy and stay clear?

~Thanks!~

...what format are these images, eps? if they are you can resave them from photoshop with a jpeg preview header rather than a tiff preview which helps out when generally placing images in layout applications...

...probably won't help much in your case, rotated images will always look disorted and jaggy when rotated in layout applications...

...as long as they are the correct resolution for your needs i would ignore the preview quality, what you are seeing is just that, a low res preview...

...also check that you haven't got 'view > pixel preview' turned on...

...other than this, nothing else i can think of...

...be careful when rasterizing images in illustrator, especially when enlarging them bigger than the actual size of import, this will decrease quality depending on how much bigger you go...

...photoshop will probably do a better job of resizing, but still with a loss of quality...

...if you project is for high end output and they aren't big enough, you have three options...

...resize in photoshop and put up with quality loss of quality...

...rescan the images if possible, at a higher resolution...

...or replace them entirely with different but better quality images...
