rotate a text 1

This should be a simple one. I have a text, but how can i rotate my text so that it rotates 90° right?

Image --> Rotate Canvas --> 90° CW or CCW

My last post actually rotates the whole canvas. If you want text to rotate alone try this:

Edit --> Transform --> Rotate

Now just rotate the text using your mouse. Look in the Info window (located in the upper right hand corner of the screen) and adjust to the degrees you want to rotate.

why might 'rotate text' be greyed out when you right click on the character palette ? (its not a double-byte character)

Just hightlight the text layer and hit ctrl+t to activate free-transform.
