My root partition (/) have been full 100% and other partitions (/usr,/var, /opt and /home0) still have free space around 25%.
I can't do the backup because root partition have been full.
I used tar for backup.
- Which backup command can I use (if root partition have been full) ?
I already added new harddisk.
- Which directory can I move to new hardisk ?
After that I can delete some directories from root partition.
- Which software can I use to copy old Sun OS harddisk to new harddisk (something like norton ghost)?

Try the following command:

from /

du -dk | sort -nr

This will provide you with a list of directories and their sizes.

Look for any large files like tar files in your / directory, the / directory isn't very large and you should not create large files/directories in it. Rather use /usr/ or /home for creating or storing large files/directories. IBM Certified Confused - MQSeries

Check for core files in the / directory. They can be large and fill a small partitian quickly.
