ok firstly I don't have a unix server, the server is IIS on Windows NT server. I tried running this program that checks to see if CGI scripts can run on the server I got this message:
------------------------------
The test script failed to execute on the web server. The error could be caused by several things. Check the path to the Perl shell, the CGI-BIN URL, and the proxy error could also occur if your web site is out of disk space or your web server is not configured to accept POSTs to CGI scripts.
-------------------------------

what I'm sure about is that the proxy is correct and the CGI-BIN url is correct. I'm not sure wheather I have perl on the server, how would I check if I have this. And if I don't have it where can I get it from and how do I install it?

Along with the error above I also get this error as well:

-------------------

The check script sent an invalid response Error 405.
405 Method Not Allowed
The method specified in the Request Line is not allowed for the resource identified by the request. Please ensure you have the proper MIME type set up for the resource you are requesting.

---------------------

I would be very grateful if anyone could help me out with this problem. Remember I am a newbie so keep it to my level.
Thankx
