This may be a newbie question, but I have no other choice--thanks for understanding! I'll try to explain this simply i'm not sure if this is related to rollovers, frames, etc:

What I want:
nav-bar that, when the user hovers over the different buttons/links, some descriptive text fades in below. Seems simple enough, and I've seen it many places on the web. But I'm not sure if this can only be done in flash or weather I can actually do it with FW4.

What I have just now:
Simple button which FW creates 4 frames for;
An animated gif that 'fades' in over 20 frames;
These two are setup like a disjointed rollover;
On mouseover only the first frame of the gif animation is visible, and the second frame on mousedown event.

What I think:
Somehow, I must have to duplicate/share the 2nd frame of the button(mouseover state)across the 20 gif animation frames. How do I do this? I'm sure its simple!

Thanks!
Ben

Problem resolved. Created two fireworks image files (1)a button and empty slice; exported to rollover; (2) animated gif with fading text. replaced the ...r1_c1_f2.gif with the second/animated gif.

Works perfect.
