Rollover not working

Hello everyone,

I've had a few complaints that users are getting a busy signal once in a while when calling x4479. This extension is MARP on one 3903 and has a rollover of 5479. The only other phone these extensions are on is his secretary's phone, she has his extensions on keys 2+3, not MARP and built as an SCR. She has her own extension and rollover MARP on keys 0+1. Both phones have LHK set to 1, and HTA(hunting) is allowed.I made several test calls and only was able to recreate the problem once when I called x4479 and had his secreatry answer it on her phone, then dialed x4479 and got a busy. I tried to do this several more times and the calls went through fine. I should add that in the past we had an issue where his phone was busy for every call and even went dead at some point. His phone was replaced, his cross connect was replaced and switched to a new feeder pair, switched his TN also, and we even switched to a different jack under his desk. Any advice is appreciated.

I bet if you make her LKK 3 it will solve your problem.

KCFLHRC thanks for the quick reply. By making LHK 3 on the secretary phone won't that make her extension not hunt to her rollover which is key 1, key 3 is currently his rollover line on her phone.

It will make her phone hunt from key 0 to 1 to 2 and finally 3

I'm still learning as you can see..lol. Thanks, so the LHK actually stands for the last key to hunt to. This should not affect her phone and hopefully solve any busy signals the users are getting. I will give it a try.

What doesn't make sense is that all the secretary phones are programmed as LHK 1 and they have been working for years, no complaints. They have been setup much before I started here and they are all setup the same way as this one.

It may be an issue with SFA in the CLS. Make sure the secretary has SFA

All the secretaries do not have SFA allowed and their LHK is set to 1. I'm not sure how a traditional secreatry phone is supposed to be setup but all of ours just have the Execs SCR built on keys 2+3. Do you think I should change the SFA but leave the LHK alone? Sorry for all the questions, I'm jsut trying to make sure I'm making the right changes because this may have to be done on several phones, most of which haven't reported any problems.

The complaints have been that when calling the user who is on keys 2 and 3 internally people are getting a busy. It has been very intermittent.

I think the issue is that it is busy on her phone and not his. I think the LHK of 3 will fix it. Easy to try

Thank you, you have been very helpful. I realized when posting the print out of her phone that she also has two other extensions that she answers. Do I have to set LHK to 5 to accomodate those too. Also about the hunting, will this ever hunt from one users lines to the other? What if the scretary had her lines tied up wil another call to her roll to his line? Sorry I realize these may be stupid questions.

All these scenarios are very easy to try and test. Instead of hunting why not do a forward no answer on the bosses phone to her phone and remove all those appearances? If she wants to see when he is on the phone the program a BFS key
