Hi all, I have and object on my home page that I have assign a behaviour to play a sound on mouse over, The problem is that the sound .wav file plays but from most computers it triggers a "do you want to dload this file". I have tried changing behavior to "on mouse click" which is ok just the "on mouse over" behaviour triggers the dload window.
Thanks

Sounds such as .wav files that you attach to your web site as rollovers are dangerous. They will do different things depending on the software set up on the users computer. Some users will have real player set to play all .wav files, so before the sound will play, real player has to wind up.

My experience with sound is play sounds through Flash, that way, you at least now they will always play throught the flash plugin. Over 93% of users now have the flash plugin. or use none. The sounds have to be really relevant or they slow down your site in any case.
