Rolling quarterly report

Hi,

I am new to BO and am trying to generate a rolling quarterly report. The universe has a fiscal year and fiscal quarter field (values 1,2,3,4). I would like to know as to how I can generate the current and prior quarters within the cross tab report relative to the current day? Also, when the year changes to a new one it may be required to compare the current year's first quarter with the last quarter of the previous year and the fiscal quarter may not work in this case since it's values run from 1-4 for each year. Any ideas around this?

The reality is that this isn't a BO question at all.

Ask yourself how you would do this in SQL. When you get that answer, then you need to implement the same thing in Business Objects.

This is best done at the universe level and usually requires some very intelligent calendar methods.
