Rolling out the same personal workbook to a team

Hi

I need to rollout the same personal macro workbook to a number of users.

My current approach is to have each user run an install programme once that extracts the file to the diretory it needs to be in:

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART

They can run this programme again to intall updates / if they move PCs.

Does anybody know of software to create this install programme? Is there a Microsoft tool? I can't find one.

We can't use normal network admin tools to do this.

This is ill considered.

A personal workbook is for personal macros. Some users may already have such macros and will not thank you for destroying them. Even if they have no such macros today they may want to create them tomorrow so your next update would destroy their later work.

Obviously you can have a workbook with a different name which will need to be copied to the same folder as personal and will need to be set up as hidden.

However, the more sensible solution is to create your file as an add-in.
